Kosher Salt-Encrusted Prime Rib

Ingredients:
3 lb Kosher salt
1 bone-in beef rib roast, 6-8 pounds
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cracked black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 cup water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450° F. Line a roasting pan with heavy duty aluminum foil.
Sprinkle 3 cups of Kosher salt along the bottom of the roasting pan.
Thoroughly brush the prime rib with Worcestershire sauce, then sprinkle cracked pepper and garlic powder along the top.
Place prime rib into the roasting pan with the seasoned side up.
Pour the water into a bowl and add the remaining salt, stir together. Coat the entirety of the prime rib with the moistened salt.
Place the pan into the oven and cook the prime rib for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325° F. Cook for an additional 2 1/2 hours, until the prime rib internal temperature reads 130° F for medium-rare or 145° F for medium.
Take prime rib out of the oven. Let stand for 20 minutes.
Brush away the salt crust. Carve prime rib into slices and enjoy!
