French Toast Sticks

Serves 4

An easier way to enjoy the classic breakfast item.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 slices bread
cinnamon, for sprinkling
sugar, for sprinkling
maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a skillet.
  2. While butter melts, in a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Cut each slice of bread, lengthwise, into 4 pieces. Add bread slices to bowl and soak.
  4. Place bread slices in skillet and cook until browned. When finished cooking, place French toast sticks on a plate then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Serve with maple syrup.
