Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich

Serves 4
Take your taste buds on a fiery adventure.
Ingredients:
3 chicken breasts |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1 1/2 cups hot BBQ sauce |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
1 jalapeno pepper, sliced |
4 slices pepper jack cheese |
4 hamburger buns |
Directions:
- Place chicken breasts into a bowl. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt and black pepper over top. Coat evenly.
- Transfer chicken to a slow cooker. Pour BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, apple cider vinegar and red pepper flakes on the chicken. Toss to coat.
- Place lid on the slow cooker and set to high and cook for 4 hours.
- Use two forks to shred chicken.
- Place shredded chicken on buns, top with a slice of pepper jack cheese, a few jalapeno slices and place on top bun and enjoy!
