Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos

The very best flavors of the Southwest.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
1 Vidalia onion, chopped |
2 teaspoon minced fresh garlic |
4 cups cooked chicken, diced |
1 packet chicken taco seasoning, 1 oz. |
1/4 cup water |
12 flour tortillas |
Adobo seasoning, to taste |
Salsa Verde, for garnish |
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese |
Prepared guacamole, for garnish |
Sour cream, for garnish |
Directions:
- Preheat large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add butter, onions, and garlic. Saute for about 5 minutes, until onions are translucent.
- Stir in chicken and sprinkle with chicken taco seasoning. Add water and stir well to coat. Remove from heat and set aside. Cover to keep warm.
- Warm tortillas and sprinkle one side with Adobo seasoning, and fold in half while still warm.
- Fill tortillas with even amounts of chicken mixture, salsa verde, shredded cheese, guacamole and sour cream.
