Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich

Serves 2
An all-time favorite just got a lot tastier.
Ingredients:
2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon onion powder |
Salt, to taste |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
1 avocado, sliced |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons butter |
4 slices bread, your preference |
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a baking sheet.
- Divide the chicken mixture among the two slices of bread. Lay the avocado on top of the chicken. Then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the avocado.
- Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter side up.
- Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
