Rate this Recipe

Serves 2

An all-time favorite just got a lot tastier.

Ingredients:

2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 avocado, sliced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter
4 slices bread, your preference

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a baking sheet.
  4. Divide the chicken mixture among the two slices of bread. Lay the avocado on top of the chicken. Then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the avocado.
  5. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Course: Lunch, dinner
