Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo

Serves 4
Surf and Turf has never been so delicious.
Ingredients:
8 oz penne pasta |
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined |
3 teaspoons blackened seasoning |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 lb top sirloin steak, cut into cubes |
1/2 stick unsalted butter |
1 yellow onion, diced |
2 teaspoons garlic, minced |
2 cups grated Parmesan cheese |
2 cups heavy whipping cream |
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente. Drain the water.
- Season shrimp with 1 teaspoon of blackened seasoning.
- Bring a large skillet to medium heat. Pour in the vegetable oil. Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side. Transfer the shrimp to a plate.
- Season the steak with 1 teaspoon of blackened seasoning.
- Turn the heat to high and add the butter. Place the steak in the skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side. Transfer the steak to the shrimp plate.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the yellow onion. Cook for 3 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Lastly, add the parmesan cheese, heavy cream, kosher salt, black pepper, and the remaining 1 teaspoon of blackened seasoning. Stir until the cheese is melted.
- Pour the penne noodles into the skillet and toss to coat.
- Transfer the penne to serving plates. Top with the shrimp and steak. Enjoy!
