Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs

Serves 6
Two classic snacks finally come together.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese |
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
6 hot dog buns |
6 tablespoons butter |
6 hot dogs |
Directions:
- Combine the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses in a bowl.
- Bring two large non-stick skillets to medium heat.
- Open the hot dog buns and lay them out flat. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter across the outside of each bun. Place the buns butter side down into one of the skillets. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of the shredded cheese across the tops of the buns. Slice each hot dog in half lengthwise. Place hot dogs cut side down in the second skillet. Cook for 2 minutes then flip over and cook for 1 minute. Place a hot dog into each bun. Sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of the remaining shredded cheese over the hot dogs. Fold the other side over to close the bun. Let cook until the cheese is melted, and the buns are golden brown. Enjoy!
