Roasted Garlic and Prosciutto Cream Cheese Dip

Serves 1 bowl
Incredibly flavorful and wonderfully easy to make.
Ingredients:
2 heads garlic, peeled and tops cut |
Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling |
1/2 cup sour cream |
8 oz cream cheese |
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese |
4 oz prosciutto, chopped |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
Salt, to taste |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Place the garlic heads onto a piece of foil then drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the tops of the garlic. Bring the foil up the sides of the garlic heads then crimp the top shut. Place in the oven to roast for about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Gently squeeze the cloves out and place them into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sour cream and cream cheese to the mixing bowl and beat together with a hand-held mixer, until smooth. Add the parmesan cheese, prosciutto, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper. Stir together until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 400° F. Spoon the dip into a medium-sized baking dish. Place in the oven to bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Serve while hot. Enjoy!
