Serves 4
The right amount of sweet and spicy goodness.
Ingredients:
4 bone-in chicken thighs, skin on |
Kosher salt, to taste |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 tablespoon butter |
2 tablespoons honey |
2 tablespoons hot sauce |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Generously season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Combine the olive oil and butter together in an oven-safe skillet. Bring to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the chicken thighs skin side down into the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove skillet from heat and flip the chicken thighs to skin side up. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the oven. Flip the chicken thighs to skin side down and pour the honey and the hot sauce over top. Swirl the skillet around to coat the chicken thighs and return the skillet to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes. Repeat the process two more times, flipping the chicken thighs, tilting the skillet and roasting for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the chicken thighs to serving plates. Spoon any sauce from the skillet over top and enjoy!
