Hawaiian Style Garlic Shrimp

Serves 4
Take your taste buds to the tropics.
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 tablespoon minced ginger |
4 cloves garlic, minced |
Sea salt, to taste |
Black pepper, to taste |
1 tablespoon coconut oil |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 red bell pepper, sliced |
1 cup pineapple chunks |
2 green onions, sliced |
Directions:
- Place the shrimp in a sealable bowl. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss to coat. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Pour the coconut oil and sesame oil in a large skillet. Bring to medium heat. Then add the sliced red bell pepper and saute for 3-4 minutes, until they begin to soften.
- Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet. Cook and stir for about 3-5 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Then stir in the pineapple chunks and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the pineapple to caramelize slightly. Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Sprinkle the sliced green onions over top. Transfer to serving plates. Enjoy!
