Cherry Walnut Rice Pilaf

Serves 8
Fun, fruity, nutty and delicious!
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup dried tart cherries |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon butter |
3 cups cooked rice |
Directions:
- Combine chopped onion, celery, cherries, walnuts, thyme, marjoram, pepper and butter in a large nonstick skillet.
- Bring skillet to medium heat. Cook for about 10 minutes, stir occasionally.
- Add rice to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Spoon rice pilaf on serving plates and enjoy.
